Saudi Iron & Steel orders a new bar/section mill

According to recent news in the market, Saudi Iron & Steel Co (Hadeed) has recently ordered a new bar/section mill from Danieli Morgardshammar for its Al-Jubail steel complex. This is the second mill Hadeed has ordered from Danieli Morgardshammar. Electrical equipment and automation system will be provided by Danieli Automation. The mill will produce 8 to 40 mm deformed bars and 5.5 to 16 mm wire rod in coils weighing up to 2.5 tons. The mill is expected to be operational in early 2006.
