Salzgitter withdraws guidance due to coronavirus outbreak

Germany-based steelmaker Salzgitter Group has announced that it has pulled back its earnings expectations which had forecast an increase in sales to €9 billion this year and will not provide a new forecast for the year, due to the inability to evaluate reliably the business performance of the company amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The company also stated that it will continue its subsidiaries and partners’ business operations to remain a reliable business partner of its customers in this challenging period.
