Indian state-run steel producer Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) recorded its highest-ever crude steel production of 16.3 million mt during the fiscal year 2018-19 (ended March 31), notching a growth of eight percent over the previous fiscal year, according to data released by the company.
According to SAIL, its total finished steel output during the fiscal year 2018-19 totaled 14.86 million mt.
SAIL said that it aims to achieve 21 percent growth in its crude steel production in the fiscal year 2019-20.
