Russia’s stainless steel product consumption up 18.8% in 2016

Russia’s consumption of stainless steel products in 2016 increased by 18.8 percent year on year to 414,248 mt, according to Russia-based SpetsStal Association. 
 
In 2016, in Russia the total consumption volume of flat rolled stainless steel products increased by 27.1 percent to 264,278 mt, consumption of stainless steel long products rose by 2.9 percent to 74,337 mt, consumption of stainless steel seamless pipes went up by 10.1 percent to 27,590 mt, while consumption of electric welded stainless steel pipes increased by 12.9 percent to 36,606 mt, all year on year.
