Russia’s scrap exports Jan-Nov

Per Russia’s customs data, Russia exported 4.44 million mt of scrap in the Jan-Nov 2017 period with 0.39 million mt or 9 percent of the 11 month period exported in November alone. The monthly average for the period was 0.40 million mt.

During the Jan-Nov period, Russia exported 2.00 million mt (45 percent) of scrap to Turkey, 1.03 million mt (23 percent) to Belarus, 0.91 million mt (20 percent) to South Korea, 0.22 million mt (5 percent) to Spain, 0.06 million mt (1 percent) to Egypt, 0.04 million mt (1 percent) to Portugal, 0.03 million mt (less than 1 percent) to Greece, and 0.15 mt (3 percent) to other destinations.
