Russia's ferrous metal export volume up 8.1% in January-October

In the first 10 months of this year, Russia's ferrous metal export volume (excluding pig iron, scrap and ferroalloys) increased by 8.1 percent year on year to 32.69 million mt, worth a total of $17.29 billion, up 5.7 percent year on year, according to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat).
 
In the given period, Russian exports of pig iron rose by 13.2 percent to 3.57 million mt, exports of semi-finished steel products increased by 2.4 percent to 11.02 million mt, while exports of flat steel moved up by 9.8 percent to 6.49 million mt, all compared to January-October 2013.
