Russia’s ferroalloys output decreases in February

According to the data released by the Russian Federation's Federal State Statistics Service, in February this year the country's ferrosilicon output decreased by 22 percent compared to January and declined by 2.1 percent compared to February 2010, dropping to 68,800 mt.
 
Meanwhile, in February this year Russia saw its low-carbon ferrochrome output increase by 2.5 percent month on month, while it decreased by 0.9 percent year on year, totaling 18,600 mt.
 
 In the first two months of 2011, Russia's production of ferrosilicon went up by 12.1 percent year on year, while its low-carbon ferrochrome output decreased by 5.4 percent year on year.
