Russia’s crude steel output down 0.8 percent in January-September

Russia's pig iron production in first nine months of this year reached 39.8 million mt, up 4.4 percent, while the country’s crude steel production decreased by 0.8 percent to 52.5 million mt, both year on year, according to Russia's Federal State Statistics Service.
 
In the given period, Russian flat and long steel products output decreased by 0.6 percent to 45.4 million mt, while steel pipes production increased by 5.7 percent to 8.6 million mt, both compared to the same period of the previous year.
