In February of the current year, Russia exported 64,200 mt of scrap by railway, down 21.8 percent compared to February 2011 and decreasing by 30.4 percent compared to January this year, as reported by the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat).
In the January-February period of the current year, Russian exports of scrap by railway increased by 25.3 percent year on year to 156,400 mt, including 128,200 mt to Belarus, 9,700 mt to Turkey and 8,000 mt to Kazakhstan.
