Russian semi-finished steel exports down 15.3 percent in Jan-Sept

In the January-September period of this year, Russian exports of semi-finished steel products decreased by 15.3 percent year on year to 9.61 million mt, according to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat). In September alone, Russian exports of semi-finished steel products decreased by 11.7 percent compared to August.

As previously reported, in January-June of the current year Russia had exported 6.63 million mt of semi-finished steel products, down 14.7 percent compared to the first half of 2012.
