Russian scrap collection rises in H1

According to the data received from a reliable industry source, during the first half of 2007 scrap collection in Russia increased by seven percent year on year to 13.9 million metric tons.

The deliveries of scrap to Russian domestic consumers increased by 19 percent year on year to 9.5 million metric tons in the first six months of 2007. Meanwhile, Russian scrap exports increased by 12 percent to 4.4 million metric tons.
