Russia prolongs import duty on certain rolled steel products and steel pipes/tubes

The government of the Russian Federation has by its decision No. 959 dated November 28 extended for another nine months the temporary duty on certain types of rolled steel products and steel pipes and tubes, which, by the govermental decision No. 9 dated January 9, 2009, was increased from the level of five percent to the range of 15 to 20 percent, in order to protect domestic producers from foreign competitors.
