Russia issues import-export data for Jan-Oct

According to the data released by the Russian Federation's Federal Customs Service, for the January-October 2006 period, Russia exported 23.97 million metric tons of ferrous metals (excluding pig iron, ferroalloys and scrap), 4.9 million metric tons of pig iron, 610,300 metric tons of ferroalloys, 12.2 million metric tons of semi-finished steel products, 7.6 million metric tons of flat rolled products, 18.2 million metric tons of iron ore and concentrate and 1.2 million metric tons of coke and semi-coke. During the period in question, Russia imported 3.6 million metric tons of ferrous metals (excluding pig iron, ferroalloys and scrap) and 1.1 million metric tons of steel pipes.
