Rizhao Steel carries out hot run test on high-speed wire rod line No. 1

Beijing-based state-owned China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC) has announced that a successful hot run test has been carried out at Chinese steelmaker Rizhao Steel's high-speed wire rod production line No. 1 in Yingkou in Liaoning Province. Construction work was carried out by MCC subsidiary MCC Tiangong Construction Group (CMTCC Group).

The high-speed wire rod production line No. 1 mainly produces 5.5-20 mm wire rod with smooth surface and 6-16 mm threaded wire rod.

The overall high-speed wire rod project in question, on which construction work commenced on November 9 last year, includes three production lines with a total annual output capacity of 2.1 million mt, with each production line having an annual output capacity of 700,000 mt of high-speed wire rod. The production lines Nos. 2 and 3 had previously started production.
