RINL commissions new billet caster

Indian state-run steelmaking and mining company Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), also known as Vizag Steel, has announced that it has commissioned its steel melt shop-2 continuous caster complex.
 
The new caster complex will enable RINL to produce round billets with a diameter of 350 mm for the first time. The new caster will produce billets of various sizes and round billets in a diameter range of 220-350 mm.
