Rautaruukki expands its production works

Rannila which is part of the Finnish integrated flat steel producer Rautaruukki's Steel Structure Division is planning to build new business operations in Vilnius, Lithuania. The company is going to expand its production works and will open three new production lines at the end of the year. Rannila has tripled its turnover in five years and though this project, the company foresees a rapid growth in the next few years. Rannila's new 5000 m² works will be located close to its existing production works facility. The company's administrative functions will be managed in the new facility however they will leave the the sales office in the centre of Vilnius. Rannila manufactures roofing systems and straight profile steel roofing in Lithuania. Furthermore, the company sells cladding products which are produced at Rannila's other production works. Rannila considers to expand the range of roofing products with new profiles and special products. These products are exported to particularly Russia and Belarus. Rannila has formed a sales company in Vilnius in 1995 and initiated production in 1998. Rannila is now a lead producer to the country's market of producing steel roofing. Rannila is anticipating to expand its product range by including products for professional contractors. Also, Rautaruukki Group will produce construction products for the new markets. Rannila Lithuania anticipates to increase its turnover to Euro 12 million in this year. The company has 64 employees. Rannila has operations in Finland and in 15 countries in Eastern and Central Europe.
