Qinghai to invest RMB 3 billion in mineral exploration in 2011

Luo Huining, governor of China's Qinghai Province, has stated that mineral exploration in the province has increased in recent years, adding that RMB 3 billion is planned to be invested in mineral exploration in the province in 2011.
 
Mr Luo said that Qinghai is rich in minerals and that this favors the development of the local economy.

"In the past 10 years, we have not made use of our advantage in mineral exploration," he stated, going on to say that the land area in the province on which mineral exploration work was being carried out would be increased by 18 percent by the end of 2011.
