Qinghai Province to invest RMB 20 billion in mineral exploration in 2011-15

Luo Yulin, the vice governor of China's Qinghai Province, has stated that the province aims to invest RMB 3 billion ($469 million) in mineral resource exploration this year and a total of RMB 20 billion ($3.13 billion) in China's 12th five-year plan period (2011-15).

During the 11th five-year plan period (2006-10), Qinghai Province invested RMB 3.41 billion ($534 million) in exploration of mineral resources and discovered 17 new mining fields.
