Qian’an Steel eyes 70 percent self-sufficiency in electricity supply

Chinese steelmaker Qian'an Steel, a subsidiary of Shougang Steel, is targeting 70 percent self-sufficiency in electricity supply, according to local Chinese media sources.
 
Qian'an Steel expects to complete construction work on a new electricity generation project by the end of the current year, with commissioning scheduled for the start of next year, increasing its self-sufficiency in electricity supplies to 70 percent from the current 55 percent.
