Primetals Technologies to modernize EAF for Turkey’s Cemtas

Bursa-based Turkish steelmaker Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S (Cemtas) has announced that it has signed an agreement with UK-based plantmaker Primetals Technologies for the upgrade of its electric arc furnace (EAF) with a new jet burner system and the modernization and expansion of its old substation.
 
The project with a value of €1.39 million is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of the current year. With this project, Cemtas plans to increase the capacity and the productivity of the furnace.
