Cemtas starts operations at its modernized heating furnace

Bursa-based Turkish steelmaker Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S (Cemtas) has announced that it has started operations at its heating furnace following its modernization by Danieli Centro Combustion, subsidiary of Italian plantmaker Danieli.

According to Cemtas, Danieli Centro Combustion has also supplied a new heat treating complex with two lines for rolled bars. In this context, a new heat treatment furnace is near completion and is planned to start operations in January 2017, while a new continuous heat treatment furnace is scheduled to start operations in the third quarter of 2017. 

The value of the agreement signed in Bursa on November 26, 2015 for modernization works and the supply of new equipment is €5.3 million.
