On December 17, South Korean steel giant POSCO announced that its automotive processing center in China, namely POSCO-CSPC, is expected to reach 300,000 metric tons in annual sales around December 21. The company will thus be the first among POSCO`s 42 supply chain management units across the world to reach this record sales level.

Meanwhile, since being launched on May 1, 2004, POSCO-CSPC reached one million metric tons of sales as of December 16, after posting over 30 percent growth each year.

According to the company's statement, posting profits for six consecutive years since its launch and committing to reinvesting revenues to create services in order to answer customers' requests, POSCO-CSPC has consolidated its position as China`s largest steel sheet processing center

POSCO-CSPC offers its services in the Huadong region, which the company describes as "the most intense battlefield for carmakers in China," for some 100 customers, including Shanghai Volkswagen, Shanghai GM, Nanjing Ford, Brose, and Bentley.
