Ground transportation at the Port of Lázaro Cardenas, Mexico was restored to service Friday after tropical storm Manuel passed. Rain had affected both the railroad tracks and highway connectivity since September 13, according to a statement from the Port Authority and Integral (API).

XXI Century Highway and railroad operator Kansas City Southern de Mexico underwent terrestrial restore services to repair damages resulting from the storm.  According to the statement, at least 4,000 tons per day of cargo could not reach the Specialized Bulk Terminal Port Terminal Minerals Pacific (TPP), and although arrival and departure operations at the port remained regular, cargo arrival by land was not possible until September 19 and 20.
