The Ukrainian iron ore producer Poltava GOK has stated that it expects to see an increase in its 2006 year-end figures for pellet shipments to China. The company stated in a release that it expected its 2006 sales to China – a destination which represents 10 percent of its total sales - to exceed last year's figure. The release continued, “These results are an important element of our strategy and are consistent with the current tendency and future plans to increase production.”
