Iron ore production at Peru's only producer, Shougang Hierro Perú, declined 25.1 percent in October, year-on-year, according to data released this week by the nation's mining ministry.
Shougang produced 497,247 mt of the commodity in October, 25.1 percent down from the 664,716 mt of the product it produced in the same period of the year prior.
As for the cumulative period of January to October, Peruvian iron ore output totaled 6.4 million mt, 0.83 percent up, year-on-year.
