Peabody completes Macarthur acquisition

St. Louis, Missouri, US-based Peabody Energy, the world's largest private sector coal company, has announced that it has completed the acquisition of all the outstanding shares in Australian metallurgical coal producer Macarthur Coal and now holds 100 percent of the company. Peabody also notified the Australian Securities Exchange to delist Macarthur.

Peabody offered A$16.00 per Macarthur share through its wholly owned subsidiary PEAMCoal.
