Partial acquiring of Duferdofin by Arcelor

The European steelmaker Arcelor has gone into an agreement with the international trading house Duferco for the acquisition of the sections mill Duferdofin. Duferdofin is a wholly owned subsidiary of Duferco. Duferdofin's rolling mill of Pallanzeno in northern Italy is entirely included in the acquisition as well as certain stake in the San Zeno di Naviglio melt shop near Brescia. It is emphasized that this move is seen a part of Arcelor's plans to get stronger in the Italian long product markets.
