Panzhihua Steel meets rail steel goal
Through the first ten months, Chinas Panzhihua Steel produced and delivered 506700 metric tons of rail steel, achieving its annual production task two months ahead of schedule. While flat rolled prices fell continuously since the second quarter, demand for rail steel has remained strong thanks to the governments ambitious rail projects. Thus, while Panzhihuas more flat-focused peers have been under constant pressure as of late, Chinas second-largest producer of rail steel is enjoying full order books and its prices are in a stable upward trend.
