Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports up 3.76% in Apr from Mar

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 294,636 mt in April this year, rising by 3.76 percent compared to March and down by 29.42 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in April was $114 million, increasing by 4.17 percent month on month and falling by 18.81 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in April amounted to 242,441 mt, down 26.34 percent on year-on-year basis and down by 6.74 percent compared to the previous month. In April this year, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $173.05 million, falling by 20.09 percent year on year and down by 2.9 percent month on month.
