Pakistan's iron and steel imports up 34.16 percent in October

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 200,021 mt in October this year, decreasing 7.1 percent compared to September and up 30.6 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in October was $81.75 million, falling by 20.6 percent month on month and up 44.2 year on year.
 
Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in October amounted to 185,474 mt, rising 34.16 percent on year-on-year basis and down 24.9 percent compared to the previous month. In the month in question, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $137.18 million, increasing by 47.3 percent year on year and falling 18.9 percent month on month.
