Pacific American Coal (PAC) is reportedly moving forward with the execution phase of the 2018 Elko coking coal exploration program in British Columbia, Canada. The exploration program seeks to delineate reserves at the site. PAC reportedly has $5 million in cash slated for the 2018 exploration program and has obtained all necessary drilling permits. The location is considered favorable to coal rail and port infrastructures.

The Elko project has seven coal seams identified with three showing potential for hard coking coal and premium PCI. The site resources are estimated at 257 million mt.
