Outotec to supply iron ore pelletizing plant to Iran

Finnish mining and metal manufacturing equipment provider Outotec has announced that it will design and deliver technology and services for a new iron ore pelletizing plant to Iran-based Bafgh Mineral Complex Iron and Steel Industry Company (B-MISCO).

The contract value has not been disclosed, but typically such plant solutions are valued at €80-100 million, depending on scope and specification.

The new 5 million mt per year pellet plant is part of B-MISCO's greenfield investment program. The new plant is expected to become operational in 2018.
