Outokumpu Long Products, a leading producer of stainless steel wire rod, bar, rebar, billet, welded pipes and other long products with production facilities in Sweden, the UK and USA, has announced today, April 17, that it will strengthen its partnership with Böllinghaus Steel, a Germany-based leading special shapes bar supplier. Accordingly, Böllinghaus Steel will act as a representative for Outokumpu cold drawn hexagon and square bars in Germany and the UK. Outokumpu's range of special shapes bars covers the 8-25 mm size range and will be sold by Böllinghaus Steel to the market in addition to their existing product range.
According to the previous agreement between the sides concluded in April 2016, Böllinghaus Steel was appointed as a distributor for cold drawn and hot rolled bars in hexagons, squares and flats in Europe (excluding Germany and the UK), the Asian Pacific American Coalition (APAC) countries and Latin America.
Antonio Perea, chief sales officer of Böllinghaus Steel stated, "We have found clear benefits for our customers from the cooperation agreement and are happy to widen the partnership with Outokumpu to cover also the German and UK markets..Böllinghaus Steel has invested this spring in a new warehouse and stock in Portugal, that enables quicker deliveries for our key markets in central Europe. We are aiming to be the leading supplier of special shapes bars in the market."
