Outcome for PHS privatisation expected early this week

As per the recent reports in the industry, the decision for the privatisation of Polish steel mills PHS is due to be made early this week. Despite the news expecting an announcement by the Polish Treasury Ministry last week Friday, the Minister expressed his need of a little more time to decide on the potential buyer in a $1million sale of the steel mills group of Poland. The officials do not accept to comment on the leading bidder for the time being. In case the LNM Group is awarded, the company will have the chance to double its capacity in the region, following its takeover of Romanian Sidex and Czech producer Ispat Nova Hut.
