OMK forecasts pipe consumption in Russia

According to the data released by Russian pipe producing company United Metallurgical Company (OMK), in 2011 the steel pipe consumption in Russia will increase to 9.5 million mt compared to 9.2 million mt in 2010, while in 2012 the pipe consumption will rise to 9.8 million mt.

Russia will consume around 3.2 million mt of large diameter pipes in 2011 and 2.8 million mt - in 2012 compared to 3.3 million mt in 2010.

OMK's share in the pipe market will be 17 percent this year
