NWR reduces its coking coal prices by 20 percent for Q4

Central Europe-based miner New World Resources Plc (NWR) has announced that it has reached agreements with its customers for coking coal and coke sales for the fourth quarter of 2012.

Accordingly, NWR has set the average agreed price of coking coal for delivery in the fourth quarter of this year at €102/mt, down 20 percent compared to the third quarter realized price. In addition, NWR's average price agreed for coke sales during the fourth quarter is €264/mt, decreasing by eight percent compared to the third quarter realized price.

NWR also announced its production and sales results for the third quarter of 2011. While it produced 2.82 million mt of coking and thermal coal and 176,000 mt of coke in the third quarter, its sales volumes of coking coal and coke in the quarter were 1.16 million mt and 129,000 mt respectively.
