Nucor subsidiary to acquire AMICO’s bar grating assets

Fisher & Ludlow, Inc., a subsidiary of Nucor that fabricates steel and aluminum bar grating products sold under the brand name Nucor Grating, announced today that it is acquiring the assets of Alabama Metal Industries Corporation's (AMICO's) bar grating facility located in Bourbonnais, Illinois, as well as the bar grating equipment and related inventory at three other AMICO locations.
 
Fisher & Ludlow’s grating products are used as flooring for stairs, mezzanines and walkways by a wide variety of industrial and commercial customers.  The company projects that it will produce 50,000 tons of bar grating products from the Bourbonnais facility.
