Nucor increases flat rolled steel base prices

Recent industry news reveals that US based Nucor Corp will increase base price of its flat rolled steel products to be effect as of June, 2004 with the purpose of offsetting the reduction of $30 in raw material surcharge. The new raw material surcharge is determined as $95 per ton to be effect as of May 1, 2004. The base price of subject products is planned to be increased by $20 per ton to be effect as of June 1, 2004 and the increase will be valid for the product mostly sold in spot market.
