NTMK launches new complex

Russia's Nizhniy Tagil Steel Works (NTMK), a subsidiary of Russian mining and steel producing company Evraz Group, has launched ladle furnace No.4.

Investments of Evraz in the project amounted to more than Ruble 500 million ($17.75 million). The construction of new ladle furnace had been started in December 2010.

The launch of ladle furnace No.4 together with reconstruction of continuous casting billet mill No.3 and converter No.4, will help to increase production capacities of the converter plant to 4.5 million mt.
