NTMK increases February shipments

Nizhny Tagil Iron and Steel Works (NTMK), a subsidiary of the Russian steel producer Evraz Group, has increased its February deliveries of longs and billets to 328,500 mt - up 44.7 percent compared to January 2009.

Accordingly, NTMK's February deliveries to the domestic market increased by 83.9 percent to 128,700 mt, while its shipments for export went up by 27.2 percent to 199,700 mt, both compared with January 2009. 

During January-February 2009, NTMK registered a 40.1 percent decrease year on year in its shipments to 555,400 mt, including 198,700 mt to the domestic market - down 57.7 percent, and 356,700 mt for export - down 21.9 percent.
