NSSMC completes Cape Lambert ore export capacity expansion 2nd phase

Japanese steelmaker Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation has announced that in Western Australia it has completed the second phase of the iron ore export capacity expansion at Cape Lambert Port and as well as the expansion of the West Angelas mine within the scope of the Robe River joint venture.
 
Accordingly, the annual export capacity of Cape Lambert Port will increase to more than 200 million mt and the annual production capacity of the West Angelas mine will rise to 35 million mt.

NSSMC stated that, through the Robe River joint venture, it will continue its efforts to enable stable supply and procurement of iron ore in the future.
