No.1 BF of Brazilian CST is beating records
According to recent news in the market, Brazilian steel mill CST (Companhia Siderúrgica de Tubarão) has broken a world record of pig iron production with the volume of 64'890'038 tons in a single product. No.1 BF (blast furnace) of CST, which started operating on November 30, 1983, being as the largest furnace in America continent, produces an average of 10'300 tons of pig iron daily and 3.7 million tons per annum.
