NMDC’s iron ore output decreases in April-February

India's state-owned miner National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has announced that in the first eleven months of the financial year 2015-16 (started April 1) it produced 25.04 million mt of iron ore, registering a decrease of 9.9 percent year on year. The company's iron ore sales in the given period amounted to 25.86 million mt, down 5.1 percent year on year.
 
During the first eleven months, NMDC's iron ore output from its Karnataka mines amounted to 10.49 million mt, up 15.14 percent, while the iron ore output from its Chhattisgarh mines decreased by 22.3 percent to 14.55 million mt, both year on year.
