NMDC registers highest-ever iron ore output and sales in FY 2013-14

India's state-owned miner National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has announced that in the financial year 2013-14 ending March 31 it produced 30.18 million mt of iron ore, 11 percent higher than last year, surpassing the 30 million mt mark. The company's iron ore sales also exceeded 30 million mt, standing at 30.5 million mt, up 16 percent year on year.

NMDC stated that it registered its highest-ever iron ore production and sales volumes in the given financial year. The company also announced its highest-ever capital expenditure of INR 25.18 billion ($418.5 million) for the financial year 2013-14.
