NLMK’s Altai-Koks produces 3.6 million mt of coke in 2010

Altai-Koks, a coke producing subsidiary of the Russian steelmaker Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK),  has announced that in 2010 it registered a 13 percent year-on-year increase in its coke production to about 3.6 million mt, of which 938,000 mt were produced in Q4 2010.
 
Altai-Koks' coke sales in 2010 went up by 10.5 percent compared to 2009 to 3.363 million mt, of which 866,000 mt were sold in Q4 2010 - up seven percent quarter on quarter due to growing sales to external customers including export sales.
 
Altai-Koks, with a five million mt annual capacity, has a 10 percent share in overall Russian coke production, and is one of the country's main coke exporters.
