NLMK recommissions blast furnace No. 2

The Russian steelmaker Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) has announced the recommissioning of blast furnace (BF) No. 2 at its main production site in Lipetsk.

NLMK's 1,000 m3 BF No. 2, which has an annual capacity of 700,000 mt of pig iron, had been shut down for maintainance works lasting 100 days.

As a result of the recommissioning of BF No. 2, NLMK's main production site in Lipetsk will operate at 87 percent of its pig iron production capacity, while its annual output will reach 7.9 million mt of pig iron.
