Nippon Steel posts 2003-04 fiscal results

Japanese steel maker Nippon Steel has recently announced financial results of fiscal year ending on March 31, 2004. According to the report, the company recorded its ordinary profit as Yen 172. 851 billion ($1.5 billion), up by 2.5 times when compared with the figure of previous fiscal. Net profit of the fiscal has reached Yen 41.515 billion ($376 millon) against loss of Yen 51.7 billion ($470 million). Sales of all year are recorded as Yen 2.9 trillion ($26.3 billion), when compared with sales figure of Yen 2.7 trillion ($24.5 billion) recorded in the previous fiscal.
