New Zealand’s economic growth slows

Statistics New Zealand disclosed that the country's economic growth slowed to 0.4% in the final quarter of 2004. New Zealand's economy grew 0.6% in the third quarter of 2004, and had posted 1% growth in the final quarter of 2003. Economists suggest that the economic slowdown will ease pressure on the Reserve Bank to hike interest rates.
