New house prices up in 50 Chinese cities in May

According to the latest data issued by China's National Bureau of Statistics customs, new house prices in China in May this year generally increased as compared with the previous month.
 
In May, of the 70 large and medium sized cities surveyed, new house prices in 50 large and medium sized cities in China saw month-on-month increases. Of the cities where new house prices rose, 27 showed a softening in the pace of increase compared to April. In Beijing, new house prices were up 0.1 percent month on month in May, compared to a 0.1 percent rise in April, while in Shanghai new house prices rose by 0.2 percent in May, from a 0.3 percent rise in April.
