Liu Tienan, the deputy director of China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), has stated that coal-producing provinces in China should end restrictions on coal deliveries to other provinces.

In addition, Mr. Liu Tielan stated that the coal mining output volume in China had increased by 10 percent in the current year, while the transportation capacity of the country's railways was expected to increase by 20 percent. He also remarked that aggregate coal inventories in China currently stand at 60 million mt, sufficient for 17 days of consumption.
